The students should get hands-on experience with a collection of tools as part of the course. Below is a list of possibilities, but we can also add tools as part of each central theme description.
- Apache Spark
- Apache Spark Streaming Twitter module
- twitter4j Java library (or another Twitter library)
- Ushahidi
- Twitris or something similar
- UiB has a collaboration agreement with IBM giving us access to BlueMix
