The students should get hands-on experience with a collection of tools as part of the course. Below is a list of possibilities, but we can also add tools as part of each central theme description.
- Apache Spark
- Apache Spark Streaming Twitter module
- Twitter4j Java library (or another Twitter library)
- Ushahidi
- Other EM collaboration tools?
- Twitris or something similar (non-commercial) for analysing social media streams
